LETTER TO THE EDITOR:

Social Security taxing is unfair

Social Security is funded mostly by the middle class and poor. All of the middle class's income is subject to Social Security tax, yet the wealthy (like the Koch brothers and President Donald Trump) pay far less a percentage of their income to Social Security. Income over $132,900 is not taxed.

To pay an equal percentage for all of us would mean lowering the rate the middle class and poor pay or taxing income over $132,900. Surely the Koch brothers, Trump and Warren Buffett could pay an equal percentage as the poor and middle class.

The Social Security Administration should set a yearly percentage of all income we all pay. Social Security would be funded equally by all of us.
