Armed robber sought after targeting south valley business

This man attempted to rob a south valley business.

A man went to a south valley business Wednesday morning, pulled out a gun and tried to rob it, according to Metro Police.

The robbery was somehow foiled and the suspect fled the business, located in the 10000 block of Southern Highlands Parkway, without cash, police said.

No one was injured, said police, who on Thursday released surveillance footage of the suspect.

Officers responded about 9:45 a.m. to the business, near Cactus Avenue and Decatur Boulevard, police said.

A medium-build man, the suspect stands 5 feet, 8 inches, to 5 feet, 10 inches, police said. He's about 50 years old. He wore a black jacket, a blue button-up shirt, a black beanie and sunglasses, police said.
