At least five vehicles were destroyed or damaged in a fire early today at the Four Queens parking garage in downtown Las Vegas, fire department officials said.
The fire did about $500,000 in damage, but nobody was injured, according to Las Vegas Fire & Rescue officials.
The blaze was reported about 1:45 a.m. at the garage at 222 E. Carson Ave., officials said.
Flames and thick black smoke were coming from the first level of the six-story parking structure, officials said.
At least three cars were burning just above the sidewalk on Casino Center Boulevard at Carson Avenue, officials said.
The fire, which took about 20 minutes to extinguish, also spread to the second level of the garage, officials said.
An adjacent Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada bus stop shelter was also destroyed in the blaze, officials said.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, officials said.
