It’s a busy time and a time of celebration for Third Eye Blind frontman Stephan Jenkins. The San Francisco band’s newest album, “Dopamine,” dropped June 16, with the excellent new single, “Everything Is Easy,” and much of the year is being spent on the road.

When I was 20 years old, the band Black 55 needed a new singer. We were a psychobilly band, but as band members dropped off, (guitarist) Steve (DeZarn) came into the picture, and we started writing together. The band eventually became The Scoundrels.

After speculation that a fall event would serve as a follow-up to Rock in Rio USA at MGM Resorts Festival Grounds, it appears that nothing will be staged at the parcel on Sahara Avenue and the Strip until next spring.
