Michael Shetler — a beer, wine and cocktails expert — was drawn to Las Vegas 13 years ago to work at the newly opened Rosemary’s Restaurant. Ten years later, he left the now-closed restaurant to be the lead sommelier at Sage at Aria, then became the restaurant’s general manager. Today, Shetler is now director of beverage at Aria and enjoys a rare view of the Vegas food and beverage industry.
A crowd of about 2,000 people gathered at the Palms pool for the filming of MTV's "Spring Break" on March 20, 2012. This is the second year the resort has hosted the show, which airs starting April 2.

The Gaming Control Board has issued a warning to Las Vegas day pool parties and nightclubs about underage participants, shady fee-charging tactics, drugs, prostitution and other problems.
Pizza Fusion, a South Florida-based franchise with 10 restaurants in four states, announced it is moving into Nevada this spring. The company says it uses organic ingredients, constructs its restaurants in accordance with green building standards and delivers its products in hybrid vehicles, like this one.
