  • Oregon beats No. 18 Utah 31-24 to snap win streak
Kyle Whittingham wishes that Utah's ride would have gone on forever. The Ducks were more than happy to bring it to a screeching halt. LaMichael James rushed for a career-high 152 yards and a touchdown, and Oregon overcame four turnovers and an abysmal performance by quarterback Jeremiah Masoli to beat the No. 18 Utes 31-24 and snap the nation's longest winning streak.
  • No. 17 Utah edges Spartans with big 4th quarter
For three quarters, coach Kyle Whittingham watched his long-formidable Utah Utes springing holes and leaks at practically every position. He couldn't even relax until his third-string tailback made a rambling run deep into San Jose State territory with less than 2 minutes to play. Although the Utes' 16-game winning streak is still intact after a 24-14 victory Saturday night, their impeccable run is looking increasingly difficult to maintain -- and it'll be a whole lot tougher to stay perfect next week at Oregon.
  • No. 19 Utah wins 15th in row with 35-17 victory
Utah quarterback Terrance Cain was perfect in his first quarter of NCAA football, then pretty good the rest of the way. The junior college transfer passed for 286 yards and two touchdowns in his Utah debut and the 19th-ranked Utes extended the nation's longest winning streak by beating Utah State 35-17 on Thursday night.
