During the 2007 NBA All-Star Game weekend, Las Vegas played host to a four-day party. Outside of a strip club on the early morning of Feb. 19, gunfire halted celebrations and left one man paralyzed and two others injured.

At Minxx Gentleman's Club and Lounge, NFL player Adam "Pacman" Jones "made it rain," or showered the stage with dollar bills. However, when the strippers began to collect the bounty without his permission, he became angry. A fight broke out and people were forced out of the club.

Outside, an unidentified shooter that police believe to have been part of Jones' entourage fired several bullets. One of the bullets lodged into bouncer Tommy Urbanski's spine, paralyzing him from the waist down.

Jones, who played for the Tennessee Titans, was suspended from the NFL following the shooting. On December 6, 2007, Jones pleaded no contest to disorderly conduct charges and will serve a year on probation, face random drug testing, do community service and take anger management classes. He was traded by the Titans to the Dallas Cowboys during the 2008 NFL Draft, pending his reinstatement to the league.

Urbanski filed a lawsuit against the Tennessee Titans, seeking to hold the team partially responsible for the shooting since Jones had not been disciplined by the team for other legal troubles. A judge dismissed the lawsuit in January 2008, saying the incident that happened during the NBA All-Star Weekend had nothing to do with the team.

Authorities arrested 29-year-old Arvin Kenti Edwards on April 18, 2008, on three counts of attempted murder with a deadly weapon and three counts of battery with substantial bodily harm.

On Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2008, Edwards pleaded not guilty to the charges and his lawyer, Jeffrey Segal, accused Jones of falsely naming Edwards. The trial is set for March 2 and bail is set at $2 million.
