O.J. Brigance, a former Baltimore Ravens football player and current senior advisor to player development, is pushed March 10, 2015, by a nurse whose name was only given as Bill outside a committee room after testifying to Maryland lawmakers against a right-to-die bill in Annapolis, Md. Brigance will take his personal fight against ALS to the baseball diamond on the 77th anniversary of Lou Gehrig’s farewell speech at Yankee Stadium. Brigance will honor the former Yankees first baseman by participating in the traditional first-pitch ceremony Monday, July 4, 2016, at the home of the Class A Aberdeen IronBirds.
