UNLV students in the Harrah College of Hotel Administration organized “Camp Rebel Rock,” a summer camp-themed event for women and children of the Shade Tree, a North Las Vegas-based homeless organization that assists homeless and abused women and children. The students raised about $19,000 in funding and in-kind donations from the community to put on the event as part of the meetings and events class capstone project.
