Inversion in the Grand Canyon

Workers and visitors to the Grand Canyon were recently treated to a rare event: an unusual atmospheric condition called an inversion. The canyon is seemingly filled with clouds as warm air above traps cooler, moist air below which condenses. Here is a selection of photos from the National Park Service.
