Letter to the editor:

Bush-Cheney damage already apparent

Tue, Jun 10, 2008 (2:03 a.m.)

President Bush will soon take his “Grand Farewell Tour,” beginning with a trip to European capitals, all at taxpayers’ expense. He will be seeking pats on the back and accolades from world leaders.

How genuine those pats on the back and accolades will be can be the subject only of conjecture. Though it will take the historians many years to truly evaluate the totality of the damage done by the George W. Bush-Dick Cheney years, we can begin to assess the impact now.

One thing is for sure: America will feel the negative effects of the Bush-Cheney years for generations to come. To assess some of the damage that has occurred in the past 7 1/2 years, look at a few facts:

• We are involved in two wars far from our borders.

• Under the Bush-Cheney administration, the national debt has increased by more than 60 percent .

• An energy policy conjured up behind closed doors is evident at the gas pumps and has put a strain on everyone who has to work for a living.

• The administration’s foreign policy has strained our nation’s relationship with the rest of the world.

From an academic point of view, these are big problems, maybe insurmountable problems, but they are only the tip of the iceberg when viewed in the totality of this administration’s effect on the future of our once great nation.

  1. Who will be going with G Bush on his Grand Farewell Tour, will it be Cheney and Rumsfeld, just like the "Three Stooges". Now they WERE a good laugh, the modern day variety are just pitifull, be glad to see them go.
I hope George is taking along with him a good speech writer, just so that he knows what to say and when to say it.

  2. Another form letter disseminated by the Socialist Sun!

Historians will smile very kindly on George W. Bush - as the Social Communists try their Manchurian-style coup of our government.

Citizens of Iraq and Afghanistan will cower in horror as the American polit-facists want to abandon them to the loving arms of Iran, Syria and al Queda.

    1) Two wars that lib-Ds talked up big in the late-90s, voted FOR, before running away - being won and are now securing the opportunity of freedom for 50,000,000. Freedoms and a better future than Harbert, the Sun and liberals who like this letter would take away yesterday.

Senseless woofers here would discount the lessening in general violence back to 2004 levels - and dropping, but that means they hate the lessening in violence at all. More violence, more death = good for liberals.

    2) Presidents don't spend a dime, the congress does. Liberal-Ds also line up to vote for the aims of the Bush Administration, then sprint to the nearest TV camera to decry what they also already voted on. The fact that the liberal-D does NOT effort pulling the funding for the wars they hate - and scream about, just add billions as well to the national debt AND prove political reasons why the liberal-D leaves the military in the field = for their own rank and awful political purposes.

    3) The liberal-D chokes and constipates the SUPPLIES of fuel products == wants to attack those who provide for your economic livelihood == and wants us to believe THEY can affect the weather of our biosphere. Trillions in shrunken economies, costs and restrictions; all for a POSSIBLE 0.07degF reduction by the year range of 2030. The administration has been advocating increasing supply domestically, but still is forced to go hat-in-hand to the Saudis because liberals attack American abilities to "drill our own"(mq). America has within our own area, enough oil and natural gas for at least a estimated hundred years.

    4) When Harbert and his ilk want to do something important = they should ask all their "friends" (especially those who are false friends who act against him) what to do; and then do that. For sure, your "friends" would like you, but "you" would be a wishy-washy piece of pliable nothingness; exactly what the liberal-D need to weaken America in the world. Will Barry Obama do what the world tells him to do? America's enemies, led by the already-endorsed-Obama Hugo Chavez, Achmini-jihad(sp) and Fidel Castro = sure hope so!

The tip of the iceberg has been Dem-liberal undermining of our nation, at least since "Watergate". While, before that, Democrats were actually, in most ways, more conservative than the Republicans. From the mid-70s, the geeks and freaks of American politics have taken over the DemocRAT party (small p)

Waiting for "my little baby cyberstalker" to confirm the insanity of the American Socialist party....

    3....2....1............

  3. Americas enemies???, Chavez, Achmini-jihad, Castro, are only enemies in your mind, and only because they think different to you and the vast USA

  4. Put your head back in the sand.

All three, so far among America's enemies, have endorsed THEIR candidate for '08, Barry Hussein Obama.

  5. Is this some bizarre courting ritual of the wacky right that I'm not aware of? Someone want to get Larry Craig on the line so I can learn the intricacies of Republican love? Which foot is NVMakz tapping?

I'm humbled and a wee bit perturbed you take such an interest in me, NVMakz but I have to let you down gently, I'm taken.

He's a lovely anarcho-syndicalist, and we're slowly plotting the downfall of Western civilization as I type. See, I'm attracted to intelligence and wisdom, two traits you're sorely lacking. He has them in spades.

I noted that you waived the white flag last week in the face of facts and reason. But please do continue to babble with the same debunked arguments... it's flattering to my ego and hilarious nonetheless.

  6. What white flag??

You mean your screeding late last week? I didn't see any responses as I "left" town for the mountains...

Last post I saw was my own.

    Did you respond?

Were you devastating? Were you scathing? Did you throw me under the bus??

    lol.....

If a lib screeds their corrosion on-line and there's no one to read it, does it make an impact??

    Nope, not at all..........

Still, as then, less than vapors from your side.....

Corrode, ignore and stagger on, "the bs"...................

  7. I know you're angry. I tried to let you down gently, but from your impassioned, inarticulate response, I can see I wasn't successful. I'm so sorry to disappoint you. Buck up soldier! You'll find love one day!

Let's just remember here, kiddo, that you were the one with the desperate Unabomber manifesto plea for attention today.

Like a little boy acting out, trying to get his mother's attention, hopping up and down.

And you can continue to couch the obvious: you've been proven wrong so many times no one wants to play with you anymore. A one-trick pony. Or, a one-trick clown, really. Once you honk the nose a few times, it kinda gets boring. Repetitive and boring. Honk! Honk! Honk!

So you resort to today's antics which are transparent and pathetic. I really hope you find some friends, buddy. We all know what happened to the Unabomber when he spent too much time alone in the mountains.

  8. lol....

Keep stalking me. You may learn, but you've expressed so many reasons why that can't happen.

So much nonsense, so little control in five paragraphs.

Thanks for playing my game so badly. I expected something to learn. But, there's an empty head on your end.

Give the computer back to mommy now..

    Enjoy the taste of dust.......

  9. I know, I know. Complicated things like proper grammar, punctuation and three-syllable words confuse you. It's ok. It's quite common with those of your political persuasion. I've been told it's easier if you have a dictionary nearby. Not only will it help you comprehend and craft a worthy reply, you can double-check your spelling and usage as well! It's a win-win for the Sun's readers of your Unabomber scribe.

Be sure to mind the vocabulary words I've given you in the past. Avoiding those mistakes will help craft a cogent argument that I'd want to reply to, rather than begging and pleading for a reply like you did today. You don't need to seem so desperate for attention.

Also desperate: your whole "stalking" stuff. If you're being stalked, you don't beg and plead for attention. Also, the usage of the word intimates that you fear me... which is obviously true, I just thought I'd let you in on your own joke and why I think it's so telling that you bring it up over and over.

But yeah, I just can't take you seriously anymore. Or, in language you can understand: It's not you, it's me!

  10. Some Americans can barely afford a trip to the gas station all the while Bush is doing a farewell tour at our expense - must be nice that's all I can say :(
