Rice hits milestone in one of UNLV’s most complete games of the season
Saturday, Feb. 21, 2015
If Dave Rice received a technical foul every time he was several feet out on the court yelling at a ref, the UNLV coach would have been kicked out of several games already. But for whatever reason, most likely that his counterpart earned one less than 30 seconds earlier, this on-court rant with 12:54 left in the second half of a close game was enough for Randy McCall’s crew to issue Rice his first career technical.

Take 5: Rebels fighting to stay above .500 for the season
Friday, Feb. 20, 2015
Since its first season starting in 1958, UNLV has only finished with a below-.500 record three times, and since the start of the Mountain West in 1999 the Rebels have never finished lower than fifth. Both of those could change in the next two weeks.
On night dedicated to Tarkanian, Rebels come up short once again
Thursday, Feb. 19, 2015
The particulars change, and with them the postgame explanations. What remains constant for UNLV during Mountain West play, with few exceptions, is the result, and not even a night dedicated to the late Jerry Tarkanian could change that.
Blog: Rebels watch another close game slip away in 53-48 loss to Boise State
Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2015

Bern’s-Eye View: Forecasting Mountain West Basketball Week 15
Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2015
Dave Rice doesn’t want to view the end of the season this way, but UNLV will probably play the largest role in the conference title race of any team not actually in it. In most cases, you would call that team a potential spoiler.

Blog: Rebels on wrong side of another close game, losing 76-75 at Air Force
Saturday, Feb. 14, 2015
Chris Wood hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer to finish with a career-high 31 points, but unfortunately for UNLV the Rebels trailed by four and the shot was meaningless except for the point spread. UNLV picked up its scoring in Rashad Vaughn's absence but the defense wasn't good enough to fend off Air Force in a 76-75 defeat.
Rebels heading to Air Force while trying to overcome Vaughn’s injury
Friday, Feb. 13, 2015
A season littered with setbacks offsetting some of the positives suffered another one on Thursday, and this was more disappointing than any individual loss the Rebels (14-10, 5-6) have had this season.

Friday, Feb. 13, 2015
This year’s UNLV baseball team is the closest thing yet to what coach Tim Chambers had in mind when he left the College of Southern Nevada to take the helm at UNLV in 2011. Rebels squander big lead in another close loss, 83-82 at Colorado State
Saturday, Feb. 7, 2015
The lead, as big as it was, disappeared so quickly that it was easy to see this game through only the second-half lens. In that view, UNLV and Colorado State were two mostly even teams that rode hot-shooting guards to the end ...
