UNLV (2-0) got an easy victory and faces a short turnaround with Southern Utah coming to the Mack on Wednesday for a 7:30 p.m. tip
Monday, Nov. 16, 2015
It starts with a burst of energy, a flashpoint from which the rush bursts forth and infects everyone who crosses its path. That’s what happened to two Rebels tonight, one whose impact was belied by a pedestrian stat line and another whose highlight will be the only thing most people across the country ever know about this game.

Defense can’t corral Colorado State, dropping UNLV to 3-7 overall
Rebels quarterback Blake Decker was injured again, but it didn't matter with the Rams piling up points all night in a 49-35 UNLV loss
Saturday, Nov. 14, 2015

Blog: UNLV’s defense can’t keep up in 49-35 loss at CSU
Saturday, Nov. 14, 2015
From the start, UNLV's defense wasn't up to the task today. No matter what the offense was able to accomplish it wasn't going to matter with the Rams easily moving up and down the field all evening in a 49-35 victory at Hughes Stadium.

Blog: Rebels hold on for 74-72 victory against Cal Poly
Friday, Nov. 13, 2015
The fast second half start has subsided a bit but UNLV is still in control with an eight-point lead and it's come exactly how they would want it too. Lots of quick pace, lots of possessions and an opponent wearing down as it tries to mount comebacks.

College basketball is back, and so are the Mountain West picks. Once again this season I’m going to pick every single Mountain West game that has a line posted in town, and I’m looking to build on last year’s 54 percent effort.

Saturday, Nov. 7, 2015

Rice not happy with Rebels’ performance in 37-point exhibition victory
Friday, Nov. 6, 2015
In many ways this is an all-or-nothing season for fifth-year UNLV coach Dave Rice, so a week before the 2015-16 campaign officially gets underway, Rice spent some extra time in the locker room following a 37-point exhibition victory. And their time together wasn’t ...

5 must-see games as Rebels ramp up for 2015-16 season
Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2015
The Rebels go out and schedule like few programs in the country, and one result is that a true road trip to the preseason No. 10 team might not even be UNLV’s most important game that week. It’s a big season for UNLV coach Dave Rice, and he’s going to have no shortage of ...

Rebels’ fight falls apart at end of 55-27 home loss to Boise State
Saturday, Oct. 31, 2015
The inevitable started with about 10 minutes left in the fourth quarter, and the fact that it didn’t feel entirely certain at that stage says more about UNLV’s loss Saturday than the final score does. It got ugly and lopsided, and if all you care about is the final score, that …

Take 5: Rebels need explosive plays to corral Boise State
Friday, Oct. 30, 2015
If you’re one of the first 5,000 fans at Sam Boyd Stadium on Saturday you can get a free hat, if you’re a kid dressed in costume you can pack up a duffel bag with candy and if you’re the Rebels you can hope that this game goes as well as the giveaways.
Rebels hoping to put more than a scare into visiting Broncos
A big home underdog, UNLV (2-5, 1-2) has its sights on a Halloween afternoon upset against Boise State (6-2, 3-1)
Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2015
One side is trying to build something that lasts while the other side has become one of the best-ever examples of how to do so, so it made sense that with Boise State coming to town much of UNLV’s weekly news conference was spent on the Broncos.

Friday, Oct. 23, 2015
Derrick Jones Jr. pleaded his case all week, but it wasn’t until the Rebels arrived at the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center that he got the news he wanted to hear. The only question was who was more excited, the 6-foot-7 freshman or the more than 3,000 fans who wanted to see one of the nation’s best dunkers in action.

Bern’s-Eye View: Mountain West football picks Week 7
Friday, Oct. 16, 2015
The most dangerous part about this week is thinking you know what’s going on. It’s the middle of the season and teams are settling into their spot in the standings, but give it a couple of weeks and what I think I know about these teams could be flipped on its head.
