The SURGE that McCain toots about had nothing much to do with the decrease in violence in Iraq.

There are so many unthinking people out there that point to the surge, including McCain and spout that we are now winning the war in Iraq because of it.

McCain is trying to use that to gain access to the presidency when he knows he is wrong.
