and both presidential candidates want to grant citizenship to the millions of law-breaking aka crimanals, illegals in this country - so now who the hell do we vote for? I wouldn't vote for anyone who wants to reward lawbreakers - wonder what would happen if everyone refused to vote for either candidate - oh wait, that's right - it's really the Electoral College that elects the president - silly me - and all this time I thought I was living in a country that was 'for the people, BY the people........"
Doesn't State and Federal government have better things to concern themselves with rather than telling business owners what LEGAL substance can or can't be used in their establishment? And this is coming from a non-smoker too. And how about telling us how we HAVE to watch tv in digital - that one blows me away - that the government would get involved in regulating how tv is being broadcast....and then there's seat belts that apparently adults are NOT allowed to choose between wearing or not wearing - where are all these so-called 'freedoms' this country used to afford its citizens? Oh, that's right there in the back pocket of some politican right next to the money they get from these lobbyist groups.
and some still persist in calling this the "Land of the Free'..........ya right -
Some Americans can barely afford a trip to the gas station all the while Bush is doing a farewell tour at our expense - must be nice that's all I can say :(

Here's a (not so) novel idea - how about we have a set percentage for taxing people - rich or poor - married or single - why should single people pay at a higher rate than married and why should rich have access to loopholes not readily accessable to the middle class or poor? I realize taxes are a necessary evil but this Country gives so much away to other countries, to illegals who don't belong here, to people who are too lazy to get a job - the list goes on. Anyone who says there is no work can always get a job as a security job as long as they don't have a criminal background and can pass a drug test - the pay might not be the best but it's a JOB folks - it will help pay the bills and the Security Companies are ALWAYS hiring - trust me I know!
