I would hope that Metro would place a high priority on catching these crooks and bringing them to justice. Has a reward been offered? If not, it should be. Not catching these guys will just encourage more of this dangerous, anti social behavior.

"Palin and Obama have near the same amount of experience. Palin has more executive experience.
Yet, does the letter say that Obama is not qualified to be president. No, it is does not.
So, I guess this experience test only applies to females."
Big difference: The Democrats selected Obama during the primaries. He is THEIR choice.
One person selectd Palin.

"The robbery occurred at about 12:30 a.m. July 26..."
And here it is, the end of August and these guys have still not been caught? They probably live in the area where they got off of the bus. The police have their pictures. A cash reward may be available. Sounds like they may never be caught.

"The five suspects are described as 17 to 20 years old and 5-foot-7 to 5-foot-8, weighing 150 to 180 pounds."
Anything else regarding descriptions that would help identify these thugs? Well, uhh, guess not - that's about it.

I am not a Romney fan, but as a Republican I believe he would have been a far better choice than John McSame. Actually, any other candidate would.

Politicians are idiots, and Reid tops the list. Why do they spend so much time and energy attacking the other candidates when they could be spending that time and energy in a more productive manner: addressing the serious problems we have as a nation and coming up with workable solutions? Politicians do not have solutions, they create more problems than they solve. We, the American people, deserve better.

Fuel prices and availability are only part of the concern that Las Vegas is overbuilt relative to houses, hotels, casinos, and restaurants. The American consumer is totally tapped out regarding discretionary money. Today most people are barely surviving because of loss of house equity, high credit card debt, inflation, stagnant wages, high health care costs, and a whole host of other factors.
The success of Las Vegas was due to offering the average American or person from some other country a "good deal" on room rates, food, gambling, and entertainment. Success has spoiled the casino owners - they have killed the golden goose because of greed (i.e. exorbitant prices). For example, I enjoy playing Three Card Poker. Look at the minimum bet in most casinos, especially on the weekends – outrageous. Do they think we are all rich?

"For more than a decade, Las Vegas has been the envy of the nation in at least one regard: its explosive growth".
Who could possibly envy a city with this explosive growth: more crime, more traffic, unaffordable housing, inadequate infrastructure, lack of sufficient precious water, and masses of cookie-cutter houses.

I agree with harske. We lived in Las Vegas for a year and a half, and every time I drove I felt like I was taking a huge risk. People drive like they are insane - both sober and drunk. I do not think the issue is bus stops. The issue is lack of enforcement. There is as much of a liklihood of seeng Elvis as seeing police stop a speeder or red light runner. And where is the highway patrol on the freeways?

Regarding jfinance’s comments:
Israel has a right to exist as a free country. Other countries wage war on Israel and promote hatred against the people of that country. If one believes in the Bible, read what God said about those who are against Israel and the Israel people.
Regarding gun control laws: We already have laws, and we have the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. The criminals and people with demented minds use guns, and will continue to use guns, in harmful and illegal ways. No amount of legislation will change that. Gun control will remove guns from law abiding citizens who want and need to protect themselves. Then, criminals will have free rein to kill and injure innocent people.
The rich are not those making $40,000 a year. That amount puts one at the very beginning of middle class.
Churches that espouse any sort of hate should be removed from tax preferential treatment.
And Db024 - Senator Obama has a proven track record against guns. He supported Washington D. C.'s total ban on handguns for self defense. In Illinois lawmakers introduced a bill that would exonerate citizens for violating local gun bans if they used a gun to protect their homes. Obama noted NO.
