Was "Artie",mentally challenged(retarded)?I'm not making fun of him.How old was Artie?I don't recall reading anything about his age.Was the elderly male mentally unstable? It's hard losing a loved one(s).But it's even harder when one loved one kills another loved one.I hope Artie gets the help he needs to "HEAL" from this tragic event. I seems the neighbors are concerned about Artie's wellbeing,so they'll help with whatever they can.
