As we wish all of our readers a very Happy Thanksgiving and many turkey treats, we’re just a week away from the monthlong run of Cirque du Soleil’s “Michael Jackson: The Immortal World Tour” at Mandalay Bay. Coincidence or strategic planning, sister Janet Jackson will be here this weekend to tease the Jackson juggernaut with her Caesars Palace show.
As if her appearance Saturday isn’t enough for a star-studded concert weekend, the legendary Sting kicks it off Friday night. That’s a double-knockout punch! Nice to know that DJs Samantha Ronson and Nick Cannon have renewed their Chateau Nightclub & Gardens residencies at the Paris, with Samantha here Friday and Nick leaving Mariah and the twins after the cranberry stuffing for his spin at the decks Saturday.
In advance of the NFR cowboys and NASCAR racers roaring into town next week, we get a taste of their favored sounds with Kris Kristofferson and Charlie Wilson. B.B. King, who is seeing his nightclub at the Mirage evicted in a bankruptcy controversy, is at Silverton Casino Lodge.
I’ll work off my turkey dinner by going to see my pal David Foster as he performs and presents Charice, Chaka Khan, Paul Anka and Earth Wind & Fire’s Philip Bailey at Mandalay Bay Events Center.
If the thought of more food is frightening, fear not because fun Chef Mario Batali is joining the parade. He’ll demonstrate how to cook and serve some of his favorites in an outdoor demo at the Venetian’s Winter in Venice ice-skating rink, which premiered Monday night with Jordin Sparks.
There’s a wide range of entertainment choices for which to give thanks, from Snoop Dogg to the new, sexy iCandy Burlesque show at Tropicana’s Ambhar Lounge with aerial performances, platform dancers, stilt walkers, go-go-dancers and dealers in risque outfits.
So now it’s time to break the wishbone, scoop up the sprouts (Brussels, of course) and dig into our Thanksgiving weekend menu of taste treats that we affectionately refer to as the Royal Robin Rundown -- and it all starts tomorrow on Thanksgiving.

Black Friday’s shopping madness starts at midnight as retailers try to sell everything -- including the kitchen sink -- from their stores as they go from balance sheet red into profitable black.

David Foster hosts Philip Bailey, Paul Anka, Chaka Khan and Charice, plus other surprises at Mandalay Bay; Sting rocks at the Colosseum in Caesars Palace; B.B. King sings the blues with his trusty guitar at Veil Pavilion in Silverton; Kris Kristofferson kicks off two nights of shows at the Orleans; Charlie Wilson performs two nights at the Las Vegas Hilton; Morrissey is at Chelsea in the Cosmopolitan; and Poperazzi performs pop opera at Suncoast for two nights.
If you’re looking for comedy to kill the calories and laugh yourself thin, then you’re in luck with Bill Cosby at Treasure Island; Jim Gaffigan with his blue collar hilarity for two nights at the Mirage; and Hal Sparks all weekend at the Hilton. The ladies aren’t left out because Kathleen Madigan jokes all weekend at South Point.
Samantha Ronson resumes her residency with a DJ set at Chateau; the Bank at the Bellagio throws a Black Friday retail party; and “Fat Albert” actor and R&B singer Marques Houston hosts at Crown Nightclub in the Rio with free roses and champagne for the ladies until midnight.

Check back to Vegas DeLuxe over the holiday weekend as we update all the latest news on the celebrity scene, plus our interview with hometown “America’s Got Talent” winner Michael Grimm as he makes his Strip headliner debut at the Flamingo next week while Donny & Marie Osmond head off for shows in Chicago and Detroit. Then on Monday, we’ll start our five-part, behind-the-scenes series of the “Michael Jackson: Immortal” spectacular as it gets ready for its 25-day run at Mandalay Bay.
