With a full staff now hired, the new Lumberjacks Restaurant in North Las Vegas is set to open March 5.

Owner John Sheikh said a job fair this week filled 80 jobs at the restaurant, 965 W. Craig Road.

Lumberjacks, built to resemble a log cabin, is the first Nevada location for the California-based diner. Outside the restaurant stands a 12-foot lumberjack statue holding an ax. Lumberjacks bills itself as “Where the Big Boys Eat.”

Sheikh said the menu’s large portions, including Lumberjacks’ oversized burgers and “flapjacks,” or pancakes, would interest most customers.

An online menu for Lumberjacks restaurants in California shows dinners priced below $20. Seniors’ and children’s menus also are available.

Lumberjacks opens at 7 a.m. March 5. The diner will be open 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
