With DJ names these days, it’s difficult to tell what you’re going to get. In the case of Jack Beats, the plural is not misleading; this is indeed a DJ duo. The British house music twosome consists of Ben Geffin of the Mixologists and Niall Dailly, aka DJ Plus One, of Scratch Perverts, and while neither of them is named Jack, they will surely bring the beats.
Fresh off an appearance at Miami’s Ultra Music Festival and before they return to Europe for a summer tour featuring dates in Amsterdam, Croatia and Belfast, the group heads stateside for a performance at Moon at the Palms. Headlining the club’s Fancy Sauce night, Jack Beats will bring its blend of house and hip hop with a touch of electro and drum and bass.
To get a taste of what you’ll experience at Moon, Jack Beats’ newest track “Deeper” from “Dubs for Clubs Part 2” is available free on their website.
After teaming up five years ago, the group has become a remix machine, producing tracks for the likes of Passion Pit and Florence & the Machine. With influences as varied as Rage Against the Machine and Timbaland, it is no wonder that they have impressed crowds with their creativity and found fans in EDM’s biggest names such as Diplo and A-Trak.
See what all the fuss is about tonight at Moon and start your Fancy Sauce night off with food and drink specials at Nove Italiano with Pre Fancy Happy Hour featuring $5 cocktails and beer and a $7 small bites menu from 6 to 11 p.m. Ladies receive 50 percent off of their dinner tab, or guests can opt for the Fancy Schmancy Package featuring pizza, pasta, dessert and a specialty cocktail, plus admission into Moon, for $40.
