Three weeks ago, Vegas DeLuxe reported that headliner entertainer Terry Fator was about to sign a major contract extension for his residency at the Mirage. This morning, the unprecedented new deal was officially confirmed, and the new agreement keeps him on the Strip through 2016.
The exclusive deal, as I also reported, will change his performance calendar from the current Tuesdays-through-Saturdays schedule. Starting Jan. 1, Terry will perform Mondays through Fridays, so he has weekends free for out-of-town appearances and a TV show development project in L.A.
“Taylor and I are thrilled about our new deal at the Mirage,” said Terry, who was the first $1 million winner of “America’s Got Talent” in Season 2. “To be able to do what you love onstage night after night, as well as working with all of the great people at the Mirage, is a dream come true. We look forward to many years of putting on our show.”
Felix Rappaport, president and COO of the Mirage, said in a news release, “After more than 3 years of sold-out performances at the Mirage, we are overjoyed to have Terry continue his run with us through 2016. His talent is only exceeded by his personality.”
