It’s the weekend we say a warm farewell to Holly Madison and her nearly four-year run in “Peepshow” at Planet Hollywood. Her last breast baring as a sexually awakening Bo Peep onstage is Sunday, and then “Holly’s World” cast mate Angel Porrino takes over until Coco Austin arrives in December.
Striptease of a different nature takes place at the strip club Crazy Horse III with the appearance by reality TV starlet Heidi Montag accompanied by Spencer Pratt, her husband of four years. She’s not stripping … yet; check out colleague Andrea Domanick’s Q+A with the former star of “The Hills.”
When Kobe Bryant’s L.A. Lakers come to town for their game against the Sacramento Kings at the Thomas & Mack Center, you know the NBA season is days away.
Music is a big part of the weekend entertainment scene with the return of Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band and my former “Entertainment Tonight” colleague John Tesh presenting his big-band show at the Smith Center for the Performing Arts.
Two notes of importance: Flamingo headliner Donny Osmond hosts the annual Champions Run for Life fundraiser in Henderson on Saturday as a tribute to his late pal impressionist and Strip headliner Danny Gans. Then join the 20 top Las Vegas chefs at the Jean-Louis Palladin tribute dinner at Andre Rochat’s Alize atop the Palms on Sunday that raises scholarships for the James Beard Foundation.
