The weather reports are miserable, but let’s hope that forecasters are wrong with their ugly predictions of thunder, lightning and rain. Knowing Las Vegas revelers, though, the stormy weather, if it does come, won’t stop or dampen the next 96 hours of nonstop Labor Day Weekend celebration.
It’s one of the busiest Royal Robin Rundowns of celebrity events ever posted at Vegas DeLuxe. On and off the Strip, it’s a giant entertainment weekend with music and comedy superstars, world-famous DJs and some very unique events.
It kicks off with the Lingerie Football League turned Legends of Football League and its championship game for the Legends Cup at Orleans Arena on Sunday. In past years, it was MTV’s show during Super Bowl Halftime. The Philadelphia Passion battle the Chicago Bliss with our Las Vegas Sin just watching from the sidelines. There’s an open practice today at Longevity Sports Center, and after Sunday’s big game, Hyde Bellagio hosts the combined victory and loss party.
It’s the weekend that “Peepshow” closes; our exclusive interview with Coco Austin was posted Thursday. The knockout blonde-bombshell reality TV star will perform for the final time — a least for now — at Planet Hollywood on Sunday, and hubby Ice-T will be there. Then the duo commemorate the finale with an all-cast party at Body English in the Hard Rock Hotel.
It also is the last weekend for Celine Dion at the Colosseum in Caesars Palace as she takes off for a vacation and then hits the European tour circuit before returning to the Strip on Dec. 30. Sir Elton John, Rod Stewart and Shania Twain fill the Colosseum while the Canadian songbird is away.
If the sun shines bright, daybeds at pool clubs will soar to $2,000, with cabanas starting at $5,000. I‘m hearing that hot nightclubs are asking for $25,000 for VIP tables this weekend. But thanks to the folks at Fremont Street Experience, they’ll wrap the summer Rock of Vegas concert series with a free Saturday night show by Puddle of Mudd.
There’s everything from rock to country to comedy with its kings and queens of all tastes, so without further ado, let’s lift the heavy load of the Royal Robin Rundown as summer slides to an end and fall follows fast into place!

Be sensible, stay safe and enjoy everything that Las Vegas has to offer.
Have a fantastic holiday weekend, and Happy Labor Day!
