Flamingo headliner Marie Osmond is welcoming singer and actor John Schneider as a guest performer at the Donny & Marie show from Tuesday through July 27, it was announced Thursday morning.
Schneider will join Osmond on the Flamingo Showroom stage while brother Donny recovers from an injury that has sidelined him for the rest of the month.
Schneider and Osmond are longtime friends; they co-founded The Children’s Miracle Network in 1982. He’ll join Marie for select duets and also will perform solo numbers, including his country hits.
Marie will continue to perform hits from her nearly 50-year career, including “Paper Roses,” Broadway songs, opera and a mashup of Nancy Sinatra’s “These Boots Were Made for Walkin’ ” and Aerosmith’s “Walk This Way.”
Schneider is well known for his roles as “Bo Duke” in “The Dukes of Hazzard” and Jonathan Kent in “Smallville.” He currently stars in Tyler Perry’s “The Haves and the Have Nots” on The Oprah Winfrey Network; the series was just renewed for Season 2.
The performances begin at 7:30 p.m.
