The Chippendales are getting some curvy counterparts at the Rio next month: "X Rocks," a new rock and roll topless revue, will open at the hotel-casino’s King’s Showroom on Aug. 29.
The new show comes from local topless revue production veterans Matt and Angela Stabile, the husband-and-wife team behind "X Burlesque" at Flamingo and "Raack N Roll" at the D Hotel.
"X Rocks" will feature racy choreography by the X Rocks Girls to the tune of artists including Metallica, Muse, Awolnation, the Beatles, Alice Cooper, Black Sabbath and Alice in Chains.
Comedian and illusionist Chris Randall, known by his stage name Scandal, will accompany the show with his signature sleight-of-hand and comedy. Randall is a regular guest at the Magic Castle in Hollywood and has appeared on the TV show “Masters of Illusion” and most recently at Sapphire Comedy Hour at Sapphire Gentlemen's Club.
"We've taken some of the most powerful rock songs of all time and combined them with erotic, high-energy choreography and unbelievable sets to create a show unlike any we've ever produced," Angela Stabile said in a statement. "With surprises throughout, 'X Rocks' delivers on its name and then some."
The production will run Thursdays through Sundays at 10 p.m. Tickets are $39.95 for general admission, $45.05 for VIP seating and $55.95 for “Rockstar” premium seating. Guests must be 18 years or older. For more information, visit the X Rocks website.
