It will be one of the most unusual bachelorette parties ever in Las Vegas. While many bachelorettes have to worry about their husbands-to-be getting into trouble at bachelor bashes, VH1’s “Mob Wives” reality TV star Ramona Rizzo will be celebrating her upcoming nuptials at a gentlemen’s club while her fiance serves a decade in federal prison.
The brunette beauty will celebrate her engagement to Joseph Sclafani with a bachelorette party at Crazy Horse III on June 22. Ramona is apparently well versed in the ways of the Mob; she is the granddaughter of Benjamin “Lefty Guns” Ruggiero.
She became engaged in February and plans to celebrate the marriage with 500 guests before the end of the month. The groom won’t be there, as Joseph was arrested in 2011 and convicted of a Staten Island drug bust. In 1989, he was imprisoned for harboring a fugitive mobster who killed a DEA agent.
“It’s not a normal love story because he’s incarcerated,” she said sweetly. “If you’re in love, though, you make it work, and we’ve known each other since we were kids.”
IT’S A WRAP: British action actor Jason Statham wrapped his starring role in the new movie “Heat” at dawn Wednesday and after some shut-eye spent the day celebrating. “Heat” is a remake of the 1986 Burt Reynolds movie about a Las Vegas bodyguard’s underworld adventures. Jason, who plays Burt’s role, completed his scenes at a 58th floor Palms Place sky villa with actors Milo Ventimiglia, Dominik Garcia-Lorido, Matthew Willig and Chris Browning.
Jason started his day at Liquid Pool Lounge in Aria and then turned up at the new Daylight Beach Club in Mandalay Bay, where Clockwork spun at the Eclipse party. Jason also turned up to greet the 2013 Miss USA Pageant contestants at pal Robert Earl’s Buca di Beppo but had dinner at Nobu Caesars Palace.
He told me most of the location shooting had been in New Orleans, but the Christmas in Las Vegas scenes were shot at Planet Hollywood, Caesars and the Palms. “It’s gone very well and right to time,” he said. “I’m hoping we can do one pickup closing shot on location in a nice place like Corsica when I can grab a few days of vacation at the same time.” The film also stars Anne Heche, Sofia Vergara, Cedric the Entertainer and Stanley Tucci. It garnered strong sales at the Cannes Film Festival. Simon West, who directed Jason in “The Expendables 2,” helms this action thriller set for release this winter.
POKER WINNERS: Restaurant manager Benny Chen began Wednesday like any other, but at day’s end, he was a millionaire. The 32-year-old amateur poker player bested a massive field of 6,344 entries to win his first gold bracelet and the first-ever “Millionaire Maker” No Limit Hold’em Event at the 44th Annual World Series of Poker at The Rio. With a $1,199,104 payday, Benny joined the ranks of WSOP’s 257 millionaires. He was the 26th player to earn a million-dollar payday in a WSOP tournament outside The Main Event.
Also Wednesday, 107 players in poker rooms across Las Vegas celebrated the second time that the Mega Beat Progressive Poker Jackpot hit at Planet Hollywood’s poker room. The game awards not only the losing hand and winning hand, but also all players playing in any participating Caesars Entertainment poker room. Some 100 players in Harrah’s, The Quad, Flamingo, Bally’s, Planet Hollywood, Caesars and The Rio split $914,474.
