Hip-hop star Ludacris kicked off a hot Ditch Fridays performance poolside at the Palms for thousands of daytime revelers Friday afternoon basking in 100-degree-plus heat.
Ludacris, in Gucci sunglasses, a red tank top, camouflage pants and red-and-black Jordans, stars in the summer blockbuster “Fast and Furious 6” and talked about his need for speed.
“Last time I got pulled over for speeding was probably over a year ago,” he said. “But for some reason, I was able to talk myself out of a ticket.”
Fans went wild when Ludacris hit the stage to perform some of his biggest hits, including “Southern Hospitality,” “What’s Your Fantasy,” “How Low Can You Go” and “Yeah.”
Before returning to his cabana, where he was later joined by magician Criss Angel, star of Cirque du Soleil’s “Believe” at the Luxor, Luda sprayed the crowd with water and threw a T-shirt out to the crowd.
Upcoming Ditch Fridays parties: B.O.B on Friday; DJ Jazzy Jeff on Friday, June 21; Taboo of The Black Eyed Peas’ birthday party Saturday, July 6; and Wale on Friday, July 12.
