It was an all-star turnout of Hollywood, music and sports celebrities for Floyd “Money” Mayweather Jr.’s unanimous 12-round decision over Robert “The Ghost” Guerrero at MGM Grand Garden Arena on Saturday night.
Rapper Lil Wayne was part of Floyd’s entourage walking into the ring, where Kelly Rowland sang the national anthem. The victory brought Floyd’s record to 44-0 and an astounding payday of $32 million.
Despite injuring his right hand in the ring during the fight, Floyd promised media, who waited 90 minutes for him to show up at the post-fight conference, that he will fight again in September. “I wanted to give the fans a KO,” said Floyd. “But I hurt my right hand.”
