It was a family affair Sunday night at Hakkasan Las Vegas in MGM Grand Las Vegas as Hollywood royalty the Smith family — Will Smith, wife Jada Pinkett-Smith, son Trey Smith, son Jaden Smith and daughter Willow Smith — celebrated Trey Smith’s milestone 21st birthday with a private dinner at the hotspot mega-restaurant and nightclub.
The family arrived before 8 p.m. and was joined by 50 family members and friends, including Trey’s mother, Sheree Zampino, Will Smith’s first wife. The private dinner took place at Hakkasan’s Ling Ling Lounge as the room, normally for ages 21 and older, was closed off to the public for the celebration.
The large group dined on international executive chef Ho Chee Boon’s signature dishes including the crispy duck salad, Hakka steamed dim sum, Mongolian-styled beef tenderloin and more.
Throughout the evening, Will and Jada, who are the subject in tabloids of recent infidelity rumors, were in high spirits, rarely leaving each other’s side and also were seen dancing to the DJ’s tracks.
The couple stole a few moments away from the group and sat by themselves to talk and laugh. Jaden and Willow were seen dancing, laughing and taking photographs with relatives.
Toward the end of the celebratory dinner, Will got on the mic to say a few words in honor of the birthday boy as everyone in the room cheered and congratulated Trey. Thanks to Denise Truscello of WireImage for her photo gallery.
This is a Hollywood family, so the birthday celebration was just getting started.
Post-Ling Ling Lounge and Hakkasan, Trey, aka DJ Ace, continued the party night at Lavo in Palazzo. The group in the main dining room included Trey, of course, Will, Jada, Jaden, Willow, Zampino, her husband, former NFL pro Terrell Fletcher, and more family and friends.
They sang “Happy Birthday,” and Will was seen goofing around and showing off dance moves as the family gathered for photographs. Much of the entourage made their way upstairs to the boutique nightclub, where Trey spun an EDM set that had clubgoers dancing. A live feed of the nightclub was streamed into the restaurant so that Jaden and Willow could be a part of the night even though they are younger than 21.
Trey thanked everyone for showing up, while Will danced behind the DJ booth. As the clock struck midnight, Will jumped in the booth and got on the mic to wish his son a “Happy Birthday” while cryo guns blasted and confetti filled the air. Will beamed, filming video from the DJ booth of the nighttime revelers dancing.
Trey was presented with a birthday cake as everyone cheered. Thanks to Al Powers of Powers Imagery for his photo gallery. Mishalene Bloom snapped the family photo.
