Enrique Iglesias parties at Hyde Bellagio on Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013.

It was a jam-packed Mexican Independence Day Weekend in Las Vegas for Latin superstar and heartthrob Enrique Iglesias, who had two concerts at Boulevard Pool in the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, partied at Hyde Bellagio and dined at Andrea’s and Society Cafe in Steve Wynn’s Encore while in town.

At Andrea’s, Iglesias, who I assume is still with Anna Kournikova some decades — OK, years — later, received personalized chopsticks at Andrea’s and showed them off via Twitter. The Madrid-born hunk and son of Latin music legend Julio Iglesias showed up twice at Society Cafe to watch football games, so it can be surmised that he stayed at Wynn or Encore over the weekend.

But the main events for Iglesias were his Friday and Sunday concerts. For the latter evening, it was like a big backyard pool party gone wild at the Cosmopolitan. Iglesias often worked his way into the crowd during the humid evening, and at one point he took off his black T-shirt to reveal a soaked-from-sweat white T-shirt.

His setlist included “Tonight I’m Loving You,” “I Like How It Feels,” “Dirty Dancer,” “Bailamos,” a cover of “Stand By Me,” “Be With You,” “Escape,” “Hero” and “I Like It,” finishing the night with an impressive confetti cannon.

Last summer, Iglesias was in town for a tour stop with Jennifer Lopez at Mandalay Bay Events Center and the 2012 iHeartRadio Music Festival at MGM Grand Garden Arena.
