It was a star-studded Thursday night at Hakkasan Las Vegas at MGM Grand, as DJs Calvin Harris, Nervo, Danny Avila, Rev Run and Ruckus attracted Jennifer Lopez with boyfriend Casper Smart, Kate Upton, Rita Ora and Rosario Dawson.
Before the nightclub, actress Dawson dined with three guests at Hakkasan. Dawson, in a half-sleeved black mini-dress, and her friends enjoyed steamed red snapper in spicy assam sauce, pan-seared vegetable Shanghai dumplings, Jasmine tea-smoked beef short rib, Hakka noodle with mushrooms and Chinese chive and more. The foursome post-dinner danced to top-paid DJ Harris’ set in the main room of the mega-nightclub.
Singer and actress Lopez and dancer Smart also dined at Hakkasan. Lopez, in a colorful, curve-hugging mini-dress with matching bright blue booties, and her group enjoyed roasted silver cod with Champagne and Chinese honey, roasted Chilean sea bass with Chinese honey, stir-fry black pepper beef ribeye with merlot and an exotic fruit platter. The group partied in a VIP booth, and Lopez stopped by the DJ booth to say hello to Harris.
At separate tables at Hakkasan: back-to-back Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition cover model Kate Upton and Victoria’s Secret model Selita Ebanks, Usher’s ex. Ebanks wore an A-line black dress and $40,000 worth of Gaydamak jewels (a koral hand ring, a hand bracelet and a 2L ear cuff in black gold and ice pave diamonds) and carried an Edward in Gold Leaf Python clutch by Jill Haber; Upton a black-and-white patterned dress; and the two ladies joined Dawson on the main stage.
British singer-songwriter Ora, Harris’ girlfriend, wore a full-length, red-lace gown and performed at 1:30 a.m. Friday atop the DJ booth for the thousands of partygoers while Harris watched in awe. After her performance, Upton joined Ora in the DJ booth, and they enjoyed champagne together. Ora also partied with Liv and Mim of DJ duo Nervo.
As Harris wrapped his set around 3:30 a.m. Friday, DJ Ruckus made his way to the booth after finishing his set in the Ling Ling Club and was joined by Swizz Beatz. Upton jumped onstage next to Swizz Beatz as she sprayed the crowd with champagne and threw confetti into the air. Upton also pulled Ora onstage to dance with her.
Earlier in the evening, Nervo kicked off the night in the main room, while Ruckus and MC Rev Run put on a set in the Ling Ling Club. Avila closed out the evening. Thanks to Al Powers and Brenton Ho of Powers Imagery for their photo gallery.
