Incredulously, more than 1,500 fans lined up at the Linq Promenade, formerly the Linq, on the Strip on Tuesday for an opportunity to meet the overnight-sensation scowling kitty Grumpy Cat.
Arriving in purr-fect style, Grumpy Cat pulled up to the Linq Promenade in a stretch limousine and walked the red carpet — the, ahem, catwalk — into Kitson Las Vegas for an appearance on her book tour for “The Grumpy Guide to Life: Observations from Grumpy Cat,” the frowning feline’s second tome.
After posing for photographs with fans — meow, meow — Grumpy Cat settled comfortably into the life of a Las Vegas high roller nearby, enjoying 360-degree views of the Strip from her own private cabin on the High Roller, the world’s tallest observation wheel at 550 feet.
Pets are not typically allowed access to the High Roller, but the Caesars Entertainment team granted Grumpy Cat special clearance in an effort to turn her frown upside down — and anything for a celebrity, of course.
Ever the professional, there were no sightings of a smile to report, but onlookers said Grumpy Cat seemed content with her cat fancy treatment with owner Tabatha Bundesen.
