Pop princess Britney Spears has transformed herself with a dramatic weight loss thanks to regular yoga workouts and a low-carb diet and will proudly show off her new toned and slim, trim look for the resumption of her residency “Britney: Piece of Me” at Planet Hollywood on Friday night.
Uploading a new-look Instagram photo, she said: “I’ve been working hard this summer and am so ready to bring it to the next round of shows.” Britney has shows running for 14 dates through Sept. 10. Then with increasing rumors of a fall Hawaii wedding to boyfriend David Lucado, she’s away until her Oct. 3 Las Vegas return.
Her personal trainer Tony Martinez insisted on her low-carb diet and added cardio workouts and yoga to her weight-loss regime. Britney admits that the workouts have been grueling with three one-hour sessions of cardio and two 90-minute yoga sessions each week.
“I’m coming back in top condition and running at full speed,” she added. “It was hard because I love high-carb foods like chocolate chip cookies and spaghetti.”
Tony explained: “The main aim was to increase her endurance while concentrating on the weight loss. It also included a mix of ab workouts, treadmill runs and treadmill exercises walking backward at different intervals and walking forward.”
The sports workouts also included Britney balancing on one leg while engaged in medicine ball slams, basketball jump shots, speed biking and rotating 20 times on the floor for her abs.
BIG RENEWAL: Even after five decades of shows, The Australian Bee Gees are not slowing down at the Excalibur, and they just won an incredible vote of confidence with a contract expansion through January 2018.
Before the three-year renewal, The Australian Bee Gees this year added songs, arrangements, video projections and costumes to the multimedia concert event. In its 18-year history, the tribute band has performed more than 4,000 shows in more than 42 countries.
“I’m beyond thrilled that this amazing concert extravaganza will continue to bring the magical joy of The Bee Gees’ music to the masses for another three years,” said Adam Steck, CEO of SPI Entertainment and co-producer of “The Australian Bee Gees Show.” “Excalibur is a great partner, and we have a beautiful showroom to not only perform a one-of-a-kind tribute show, but also really to celebrate this legendary group.”
FRIGHT FACTORS: Expect a big announcement shortly from the Travel Channel on a new Season 10 for our hometown hero Zak Bagans’ “Ghost Adventures” to resume in October. I’m hearing advance whispers that there will be a spectacular two-hour Halloween special.
Fright Dome at Circus Circus, one of the nation’s top-ranked haunted attractions, will team up with legendary horror director Tobe Hooper to feature one of the most terrifying horror films of all time. Beginning Friday, Oct. 3, Fright Dome takes over The Adventuredome at Circus Circus and will theme one of its six haunted houses around the grisly story of “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre,” which itself celebrates its 40th anniversary this year.
As the movie comes to life, the themed haunted house will immerse guests in scenes from the iconic film fending off realistic attacks of one of the most notorious chainsaw-wielding killers ever created, Leatherface. No corner is safe as guests fight their way through in hopes of escaping the cannibals in pursuit.
Jason Egan, owner and creator of Fright Dome, said: “For the past 12 years, we have been extremely fortunate to work with some of the best in the horror industry, making Fright Dome one of the top haunted attractions in the nation year after year.”
To add to the excitement and thrill this year, guests will be able to experience Adventuredome’s newest attraction, the roller-coaster El Loco, under the darkness of the haunted attraction. Fright Dome opens nightly until midnight from Oct. 3-31.
BACK SO SOON? Tattooed blonde bombshell Sabina Kelly is returning to “Pin Up” at the Stratosphere for just one night for now as Claire Sinclair will be away Saturday, Aug. 23. The buzz after Sabina’s success in her debut week is still loud, and I’m hearing reliable whispers that she might turn up as a guest star in another downtown show next month.

Catering to the young and modern crowd, Planet Hollywood is a one-stop shop for entertainment with its massive shopping mall, slew of restaurants, spacious casino and clubs.
The ambiance of the casino is retro-chic meets high-tech with black granite floors throughout and colorful LED lights throughout the space. The theme carries into the 100,000 square-foot casino with 250 flat screens topping off slot machines. The casino is also home to 87 tables, a sports book and a poker room.
There's also the Miracle Mile Shops, one Vegas' largest malls, with 140 stores including BCBG Max Azaria, bebe, Urban Outfitters and The Discovery Channel Store.
Following an afternoon of shopping, guests can satisfy their appetites at one of the gourmet restaurants in Planet Hollywood, like the non-traditional approach to steakhouses at Strip House or check out the exotic Far East motif at KOI restaurant and lounge. And if guests are still looking for more, they can spend the after hours at Privé, Triq or Krave nightclubs.
