Laughter was the order of the evening, as comedian Mike Epps performed to a sold-out crowd Saturday night at Pearl at the Palms.
Epps’ “After Dark Tour” features material centered on family, life, fame and baby mamas, among other topics. Epps even mentioned the 2012 incident in which his daughter took a video of him yelling at her (which she gave to TMZ).
Epps, who donned a bright white jacket, a black T-shirt and a gold chain, continues to tour and act. His film resume includes “Jumping the Broom,” “The Hangover,” “The Hangover, Part 3,” “Bait,” “How High,” “Sparkle” opposite the late Whitney Houston and Jordin Sparks, and “Next Friday,” “Friday After Next” and “All About the Benjamins” opposite Ice Cube.
His next movie, “Repentance” with Forest Whitaker, is out Feb. 28, and he stars as the late comedian Richard Pryor in the upcoming biopic “Nina,” about singer Nina Simone, opposite Zoe Saldana.
