Las Vegas International Model Search
Less than 24 hours after Wednesday’s giant acquisition of Angel Management Group by Hakkasan Group, a flurry of rumors started flying, but two seem to have validity — and immediacy.
There were serious conversations in the past few days about a multimillion-dollar makeover of Pure at Caesars Palace, including discussions about the possibility of turning the outdoor second-floor patio into a dayclub with swimming pool.
Floated was the possibility of it having a see-through glass bottom so that revelers could look down on the dance floor downstairs, and vice versa, with aquatic acts performing for party people.
Once the Pure transformation is complete, Hakkasan will upgrade LAX at Luxor and Chateau Nightclub & Gardens at Paris, but bigger blockbuster discussions have centered on a possible Hakkasan hotel on the Strip. (Don’t forget that Fontainebleau could be an easy and fast acquisition and refurbishing.)
I’m separately watching buyout negotiations, which have nothing to do with Hakkasan Group, continuing and nearing the end for another Strip hotel.
Meantime, Hakkasan at MGM Grand is all set with its 50 international models from 19 countries competing for the first Las Vegas International Model Search on the high-roller Miley Cyrus weekend March 1. Here’s a YouTube video of the contestants in the pageant.
Their bikini red carpet party outside Hakkasan is set for Feb. 28.
