Entrepreneur and socialite Paris Hilton, who recently touted herself as one of the Top Five DJs in the world, took over the DJ booth at Hyde Bellagio on Tuesday night to ring in 2014.
Friends and family were in attendance on New Year’s Eve to cheer on the budding DJ, including parents Richard and Kathy Hilton and sister Nicky Hilton with boyfriend James Rothschild. Noticeably MIA was Paris’ 22-year-old boyfriend, Spanish model River Viiperi, who she was said to be texting all evening.
Before the NYE bash, Hilton, 32, tweeted, “Can’t wait to rage with you all tonight at @HydeBellagio. It’s going to be an insane night!” Hilton arrived at the Bellagio hotspot just before midnight accompanied by family and friends.
Decked out in sequins from head-to-toe, Hilton completed her sexy black leather ensemble with thigh-high stockings and heels. She walked the red carpet and posed for photographs with fans outside Hyde. Inside Hyde, the group made their way to a VIP booth where Hyde’s performance artists welcomed them in black-tuxedo bunny costumes.
The DJ announced, “Let’s welcome the woman of the hour, your host and DJ for the night, Miss Paris Hilton!” The group danced and sipped bubbly as they celebrated the last moments of 2013. As midnight approached, the blonde beauty climbed into the DJ booth above the packed crowd to count down to 2014.
As confetti blasted in celebration of the New Year, Hilton grabbed the mic: “Happy New Year, Vegas! From the hottest spot at Hyde, we do it right!” Wearing hot-pink headphones, Hilton kicked off 2014 with her first Strip DJ set that included Katy Perry’s “Roar,” Britney Spears’ “Work Bitch” and Icona Pop’s “I Love It.”
The evening also included her new collaboration with Lil Wayne, “Good Time,” and to end the evening, she performed her first hit single, “Stars Are Blind” from her debut album, as she danced atop the leather couches. Hilton sent a video of her performance to Viiperi, who later tweeted the video.
After her DJ set, Hilton joined her friends back at their table. While in town, Hilton also checked out Penn & Teller’s magician headliner show at the Rio. Be sure to check out Robin Leach’s interview with Hilton before she arrived in Las Vegas.
Kicking off Hyde Bellagio’s New Year Eve Weekend celebration, Eva Simons hosted and performed on Monday night. Simons, in a sheer black ensemble with gold chain jewelry and her signature orange Mohawk, performed her hit “Take Over Control” with Afrojack.
