ACM Party for a Cause
My Twitter spies alerted me: Have casino rivals Sheldon Adelson and Steve Wynn joined forces to form “LV2016” with several prominent Republicans to explore the GOP Convention being held here?
Did a blackjack player at one of our Strip casinos really turn a $200 investment at the tables into a $1.2 million win before he walked away?
Which high-roller returned to the same Strip hotel restaurant for six consecutive nights because he loved the wine list and shelled out way more than $180,000 for the same bottles at every dinner?
Caesars Palace headliner Celine Dion and Surrender at Encore Ne-Yo shot their new music video “Incredible” at a downtown L.A. rooftop over the weekend. Celine wore a chic white blazer, a brown blouse, shiny black pants and peep-toe brown boots, while Ne-Yo wore a black biker jacket, dark jeans and a gray beanie. Both added layers of gold-chain necklaces.
Keith Urban, Rascal Flatts, Joe Nichols and Chris Young are the first country artists set for the ACM Party for a Cause from April 4-5 at the new Linq.
Singer-actress and Las Vegas resident Pia Zadora will become the fifth guest performer to join “Million Dollar Quartet” at Harrah’s for the one-night-only finale Feb. 4.
Life Is Beautiful
SELLOUTS! Tickets for the May 8-11 Vegas Uncork’d food-and-wine feast are already selling at a 250 percent faster rate than last year. In the first four days, seven of the events in the best culinary festival in the country sold out: Guy Savoy, Nobu Matsuhisa, Francois Payard, Joel Robuchon, along with dinners at Hakkasan, Old Homestead and Bellagio’s Fire 7 Ice.
BIGGER & BETTER: Life Is Beautiful founder Rehan Choudry has set Oct. 24-26 as official dates for the second edition of the downtown festival. He promises new surprises and enhancements “with the entire team pushing the limits to build for the future.” He hopes for more than the 60,000 people who turned out last fall.
TWO-DECADE RETURN: Singer Helen Reddy has been absent from live performing for a decade, and it’s been 20 years since she appeared in Las Vegas. Now she’s returning and will perform at the Orleans from Feb. 15-16. Helen had more than 15 singles on the Top 40 Billboard Hot 100, six of which hit the Top 10, with three reaching No. 1 — including her signature hit “I Am Woman.”
FAREWELL WORLD TOUR: Expect Motley Crue and hometown rocker frontman Vince Neil to officially announce Tuesday their long-rumored — and often reported here — farewell world tour that’s likely to feature Alice Cooper as an opening act for several of the U.S. dates before the two-year global jaunt.
A banner reading “RIP: All Bad Things Must Come to an End” will be unfurled during their L.A. announcement. Vince, Tommy Lee, Mick Mars and Nikki Sixx will perform on Jimmy Kimmel’s late-night TV talk show after the press conference.
CHEFS & ROCK STARS: Vince and Alice are two of the rockers alongside Sammy Hagar and Slash who will join Sin City Sinners on Feb. 27 here at the downtown Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health to benefit “Iron Chef” winner Kerry Simon, who is battling Multiple System Atrophy. The concert will be preceded with a rock-themed dine-around with star chefs Daniel Boulud, Michael Mina, Rick Moonen, Charlie Palmer, Megan Romano and Kerry’s mentor, Jean-Georges Vongerichten.
Ticket buyers at $1,000 apiece will meet the chefs and the stars, attend the concert and then join the celebrity after-party at Kerry’s restaurant Simon in Palms Place featuring soul-singer-songwriter Sabriel. More star names are being added daily. Tickets and more info: KeepMemoryAlive.org

Transport yourself to the opulent and excessive Roman Empire at Caesars Palace. But the ever-changing Caesars Palace is far from ancient. The hotel and casino is constantly raising the bar for what visitors can expect in a Vegas resort experience.
Caesars Palace features 3,348 rooms and suites in five towers, including the new luxury boutique Nobu Hotel and Restaurant, which opened Feb. 4, 2013, in the totally remodeled Centurian Tower. Caesars features 129,000 square feet of gaming space, including the Strip’s largest poker room and a 250-seat sports book. Other amenities include about two dozen restaurants, a four-level shopping mall, four pools, a spa, Pure and Poetry nightclubs and Pussycat Dolls.
