Country rockers Eli Young Band took the stage at Pearl at the Palms on Saturday night in an energetic performance that started with frontman Mike Eli hyping up the crowd.
“Las Vegas, turn it up!” exclaimed the lead vocalist before rockin’ the Pearl with songs spanning the band’s career, including hits “When It Rains,” “Crazy Girl” and “Drunk Last Night,” the first single from their album “10,000 Towns” that dropped in early March.
EYB, which is Eli, Chris Thompson, James Young and Jon Jones, also belted out fan favorite “Always the Love Songs,” the group’s Top 10 breakthrough from the 2008 album “Jet Black & Jealous.”
Eli told the audience, “Don’t be afraid to dance on the chairs or tables!” — which unsurprisingly got a rise from the crowd and had them standing up and dancing throughout the evening.
The band was recently nominated for a Country Music Award for Vocal Group of the Year and will continue to tour through the summer in support of “10,000 Towns.”
