It was a triple-header this Labor Day Weekend in Las Vegas for North Carolina band The Avett Brothers — banjo player and vocalist Scott Avett, guitarist and vocalist Seth Avett and their bandmates performed Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights at Brooklyn Bowl in the Linq Promenade.
I saw The Avett Brothers many moons ago at Belly Up Tavern in Solana Beach, Calif., and have been a fan ever since. Their mix of sounds includes country, bluegrass, pop, punk, folk, rock and roll, indie, honkytonk and ragtime — top that!
Their most recent album, “Magpie and the Dandelion,” was released last year. Thanks to Erik Kabik of Kabik Photo for his photo gallery of The Avett Brothers on Night 2 of their three-night stand on the Strip.
