Perez Hilton at Britney Spears
FANS APPLAUD BRITNEY: Pop princess Britney Spears confirmed to her weekend audiences at her resident show “Britney: Piece of Me” at Planet Hollywood that David Lucado and she had split: “By now everyone knows my boyfriend cheated on me.”
Hollywood insiders report that her father Jamie Spears shelled out megabucks for a video of his saucy shenanigans with another woman to prevent Internet embarrassment. More than 4,000 Britney fans booed him in support of Britney. “But the best part of breaking up is going out on first dates again,” she laughed.
With that, she said that she needed a hot guy, and her dancers pulled onto the stage celebrity blogger Perez Hilton, who she turned into her love slave. He was quickly dressed in leather and chains, and Britney sang “Freakshow” while leading him on all fours around the stage. They both loved it, and Perez tweeted, “Britney made me her bitch.”
While in Las Vegas for Labor Day Weekend, Perez rode the 500-foot-high Voo Doo Zip Line at the Rio before donning the legendary cuffs and collars of the Chippendales dancers to watch the show of hunks. He also dined at celebrity chef Kerry Simon’s new Carson Kitchen downtown ordering Devil’s Eggs, veal meatballs, wellington empanadas, short rib sliders, rainbow cauliflower, chicken thighs and the fan-favorite mac and cheese.
NO TO $1 MILLION OFFER: There’s no confirmation of the stories that country king and queen Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert have turned down a $1 million offer for a weekend of shows at Caesars Palace’s Colosseum while songbird Celine Dion is away caring for her husband, Rene Angelil.
The watchwords there appear to be “silence is golden.” Still no word, either, yet on whether Mariah Carey has agreed to a similar $1 million weekend offer.
BAD BLOOD: Watch sparks fly tonight on the new Season 5 of “Ink Master.” This season’s episodes pit rivals against one another in the quest for the $100,000 grand prize and bragging rights to the title. Battling among the 18 contestants are Clean Rock One, owner/artist at Chrome Gypsy Tattoo here, and Tim Lees from Propaganda Tattoo in San Diego. Clean Rock opened a studio here and employed Tim, but they fell out over professional standards. Tim departed a month after it opened and blames Clean Rock for the feud. So the boss is forced to work with his fired employee in the tag-team round!
Host Dave Navarro works with judges Chris Nunez and Oliver Peck with input from the human canvasses who have a say in who gets sent home. We’ll follow Clean Rock’s progress on the Spike TV series. Our friends at KOMP Radio 92.3 host Clean Rock each week he remains on the show with a viewing party at Silverton Casino Lodge starting tonight.
AT THE WHITE HOUSE: Our Miss Nevada Ellie Smith of Henderson was at The White House this morning and got to play with the Obama family’s two dogs. She was photographed there with reigning Miss America Nina Davuluri.
Ellie joined the 52 other contestants Monday night at Carmine’s D.C. restaurant, a sister eatery to Carmine’s at the Forum Shops of Caesars Palace. The contestants wind up in Atlantic City on Wednesday to start preproduction and filming for the Sept. 14 pageant, with the crowning of the new Miss America on ABC.
HILLARY VISITS: Possible presidential contender Hillary Clinton will be on the Strip on Thursday when she joins Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid of Nevada for his eighth clean-energy summit. Key members of the Democratic Party also will attend.
Businesses that promote an exhibit at the event pay as much as $5,000 for a booth in Mandalay Bay Convention Center. Maybe politicos will spend the night in the new Delano Las Vegas that opened there today?
FLOYD WORKS OUT: In advance of Sept. 13’s eagerly awaited rematch between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Marcos Maidana, our hometown 11-time, five-division world champion holds a workout today with his trainer father and Mickey Bey, who will fight Miguel Vazquez for the IBF lightweight world title.
Floyd’s 12-round rematch, the fourth of a six-fight deal, will be broadcast on Showtime PPV from MGM Grand Garden Arena. Today’s workout takes place at Mayweather Boxing Club on Schiff Drive in the Spring Mountain Shopping area.
‘KINKY BOOTS’: Thigh-high, sequin-sparkling, high-heeled boots might well be the fashion craze this week in Las Vegas as Cyndi Lauper arrives for final sound-check rehearsals of her Tony Award-winning musical “Kinky Boots” debuting at the Smith Center on Thursday with the official premiere Saturday. It’s the first time that Las Vegas has been chosen to launch the national tour of a Broadway smash, and that’s led people to assume that all the tickets have been sold.
Not true! Some are still available at the box office, including for a matinee added for Wednesday, Sept. 10. On Wednesday, we’ll post my interview with four-time Tony winner Harvey Fierstein, who wrote the hilarious book for the show. On Thursday, we’ll meet up with Cyndi for a Q+A and a behind-the-scenes backstage tour preview. “Kinky Boots” won six Tonys, including Best Musical.
TV MAGIC: Lots of local magicians turning up on television these days. Don’t miss the final night of the four-hour mini-series “Houdini” on The History Channel with Oscar winner Adrien Brody, who studied magic here at Tannens Magic Camp.
New magic TV series are continuing with “Wizard Wars” tonight on SyFy, and on Wednesday, it’s Rio headliners Penn & Teller with “Fool Us” and “Masters of Illusion” on Friday on The CW. Tropicana headliner Murray Sawchuck appeared on “Masters of Illusion” last week with “Fantasy” at the Luxor dancer wife Chloe Crawford in the first of three episodes that feature them. Every Thursday, Tru TV showcases its series “The Carbonaro Effect.”
GENEROUS GIFT: New SLS Las Vegas head honcho Sam Nazarian had a generous gift hidden up his sleeves during the star-studded opening of his new property. Just before the fireworks display Aug. 22 with thousands of locals pouring in to explore the new property, he fulfilled a promise that he’d made to After-School All-Stars of Las Vegas.
He presented a check for $30,000 to the program that provides after-hours academic programs for more than 5,000 underprivileged students in 13 Clark County elementary and middle schools.
Rachel Feinstein, Alan Bursky and Brett Walkow headline at the Improv in Harrah’s through Sunday.
Our first real look at “Kinky Boots” premiering its national tour here at the Smith Center, plus culinary updates for the fall with Counter Intelligence — hot off the grill!

Perhaps one of the resorts biggest attractions came in March with the addition of "Peepshow." The naughty twist on the story of Little Bo Peep is modern-day spin on the run-of-the-mill Vegas topless review. The "Peepshow" stage has seen visiting celebs like Scary Spice Mel B, "Dancing with the Stars" Kelly Monaco and Playboy's Holly Madison.
