The “scrambled brain” Frank Gehry-designed building that houses our Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health downtown at Symphony Park will receive several hours of global TV exposure Thursday night when MSNBC and Telemundo join forces for the Democratic town-hall meeting moderated between Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders.

NBC engineers loaded in lighting, audio and sets through the night for the Chuck Todd and Jose Diaz-Balart telecast two days before Nevada’s First in the West Democratic caucuses. Satellite trucks are now jammed together in the parking lot of the building near the Smith Center.

Technical rehearsals are scheduled to start Thursday morning, with the main two-hour broadcast airing live from our Keep Memory Alive event center at 6 p.m. for the 9 p.m. East Coast airing. It also will stream live at MSNBC.com and NBCNews.com and the Spanish-language version on Telemundo.com.

The telecast here will be preceded with a 4 p.m. edition of “Hardball With Chris Matthews” live from Las Vegas followed by a 5 p.m. pre-show anchored by Chris Hayes. At 8 p.m., Rachel Maddow will anchor a special edition of “The Rachel Maddow Show” featuring reaction and analysis. The town hall will re-air on MSNBC from 9 to 11 p.m.

Jose is co-anchor of Telemundo’s “Noticiero Telemundo” and host of “Enfoque,” an anchor of MSNBC Live and a regular anchor of Saturday editions of “NBC Nightly News.” Chuck is the NBC News political director, moderator of Sunday’s “Meet the Press” and anchor of MSNBC’s “MTP Daily.”

Larry Ruvo, founder of Keep Memory Alive, told me: “This is the largest television production we have ever hosted at our building. It’s wonderful to think that people around the world will tune in to see it and at the same time learn about the incredible research work we’re doing in fighting modern-day brain diseases.”
