As both a caucus site leader and a concerned volunteer, I agree with much of your Feb. 14 editorial “Nevadans must seize this chance to steer the direction of the nation.” In spite of the operational concerns, it is indeed important that every Nevada Democrat caucus, and I recommend caucusing early. This phenomenal enhancement to the process enables many more people to participate. Early caucusing is more convenient, faster and reduces operational and security concerns. Early caucus-goers can still select their first five choices on a clear paper ballot.
One small nit to pick, speaking as a site leader: Food will not be allowed in the caucus room.
