More than 33,000 Nevada Democrats participated in the final day of early voting on Tuesday, pushing the total to more than 77,000, the party announced today via Twitter.
Final numbers were expected to be released this afternoon.
For the first time, Nevada’s Democratic Party offered early voting ahead of Saturday’s caucuses.
Voters filled out ballots indicating their top three choices for president. The votes will be added to the totals from some 2,000 precinct caucus meetings on Saturday.
About 84,000 people participated in the state’s Democratic presidential caucuses in 2016.
