The United States is the greatest country on earth, but we have serious problems that need to be addressed, and they require a president with intelligence, compassion and leadership skills. Donald Trump does not have what it takes to be a leader.
For example, Trump stated in his June 25 speech in Wisconsin: “If we didn’t test, we wouldn’t have cases. But we have cases because we test.”
Testing is a way for health professionals to determine whether a person has the virus, and then if he or she tests positive, that person would quarantine and thus protect others from getting the virus. Contact tracing helps alert other people that an infected person has come in contact with them and that they may have been exposed.
Trump sets a poor example by not wearing a mask, and he makes illogical comments about testing, thereby demonstrating that he doesn’t care about people. He has rallies where he does not want supporters to wear masks, he has people sign forms waving their right to sue if they get COVID-19.
Do we want a president for four more years who clearly shows he does not have leadership skills and does not give a whit about public health?
