A man was killed and another critically injured Wednesday in a shooting during an attempted robbery, according to Metro Police.
The victim who was killed went to at an apartment complex in the 6200 block of West Tropicana Avenue, near Torrey Pines Road, about 10 p.m. for a drug deal when he was approached by two masked men, police said.
A struggle ensued and one of the masked men pulled a gun and fired, wounding his associate and fatally shooting the other man, who died at University Medical Center, police said.
The wounded man was dropped off at Spring Valley Hospital, where he remained today in critical condition, police said.
No arrests were announced.
