It is time for President Donald Trump to realize that he isn’t the only person in the United States. There are over 330 million of us.
Unless I am mistaken, Trump has about 60 days to govern rather than tweet and throw a temper tantrum. Eleven million people in the United States have contracted COVID-19 and 250,000 have died as a result. Why is Trump ignoring this problem to the extent that he won’t even discuss it?
Why is the president not allowing the Oval Office transition to proceed? Because he can’t stand that he lost a legitimate election. His spreading of conspiracy theories is ruining our country. His party leadership is no better than he is.
For the majority of the Republicans in Congress to remain silent makes them complicit. Someone in Trump’s party needs to step in and tell him to grow up. Our democracy will endure in spite of him. He is just making it more difficult for those who come after him.
