LETTER TO THE EDITOR:

Think before replacing RBG

It’s hard to understand how or why the present White House resident can totally ignore the loss of Supreme Court icon Ruth Bader Ginsburg and consider filling her seat before she even has a final memorial. He is known for his lack of feelings toward others, with constant focus on himself, and is certainly demonstrating that now.

He wants to jam a new judge into the court in the middle of a presidential election with no opportunity for a complete vetting of a candidate by both parties. Unfortunately, Republicans have suddenly lost their individual identities and chose to follow the direction of their leader regardless of where it leads.

Ginsburg’s last request was that her seat not be filled until the new president is elected. Shouldn’t we follow her final wish?

Hopefully, senators will sit back and consider what the deadly consequences of this rapid, thoughtless move would be.
