Lara Trump called Democrat Joe Biden a “trojan horse for the far-left socialists” and urged voters to ignore polls showing her father-in-law, President Donald Trump, trailing in the race for the White House.

“I truly believe that my father-in-law was chosen for this time, for this moment in our history,” she said during a rally at the Westin Las Vegas.

“Do not believe the polls,” she said, calling them a tactic to suppress Republican voters.

FiveThirtyEight, a polling and analysis website, has calculated Biden’s lead based on polling averages as 6.3 percentage points in Nevada and 10.3 points nationally.

Lara Trump, who is married to the president’s younger son, Eric, said Republicans need to vote in force.

“Donald Trump has to win by such an overwhelming margin of victory that they cannot dispute the results of the election, that we know on Nov. 3 that Donald Trump won,” she said.

She also criticized Democrats for efforts to expand mail-in voting, repeating the unsubstantiated claim that it leads to fraud. Nine states, including Nevada, sent mail-in ballots to all registered voters this year.

Lara Trump’s stop in Las Vegas comes as the president and his family are making trips to battleground states, including Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and North Carolina.

Her visit came two weeks before Election Day and two days after the president’s swing through Northern Nevada, where he spoke to a crowd of thousands in Carson City.
