Gov. Steve Sisolak has ordered that flags at all public buildings and grounds be flown at half-staff in honor of U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

Sisolak's order issued Saturday requires that the honor continue until sunset on the day of her interment.

Ginsburg died Friday at age 87.

Sisolak called Ginsburg a “trailblazer, icon, fierce advocate for equality and legal powerhouse on the Supreme Court" and said her legacy will inspire future leaders.

Sisolak's office said his order for flags to be flown at half-staff to honor Ginsburg follows a similar executive order issued by President Donald Trump.
