Some of my neighbors have strong feelings against Assembly Bill 351, the Death with Dignity proposal under consideration at the Legislature.
It is their right to express their opinions, but I wholeheartedly support the legislation. Many of us want protections — especially as we age — and to have a peaceful passing ahead of us.
Many of us have seen our friends and loved ones suffer terrible pain and uncertainty at their approaching death. We can spare each other that uncertainty by passing this legislation.
Protections are in place. Ten other states have already passed Death with Dignity legislation, and more will surely follow. Nevada, we can join them by passing AB351.
